Apple Sales Pumped Up After Overwhelming Response From China

Apple Sales in China

Apple has been the leader of smartphone world in domestic and international markets.

Apple Inc. is already known as the uncrowned king of the smart-phone industry. The company has had a good lead over all other smartphone makers in the industry for decades. The only tough competition that it received was from Samsung and its Galaxy models, however with the launch of Galaxy S5, Samsung failed to keep up with the tech giant. Hence, Apple gained more pace and surpassed the Korean smartphone maker by all means in the domestic as well as international market.

In recent times, the company has bolstered its international status and its potential growth in the emerging and emerged market is constantly increasing. The company has been a powerhouse in the Chinese market. It was reported that Apple iPhones were the most phones sold in the region by miles. The similar news tells us again that Apple sales have surged in China. The company has reported a record in the sales of iPhones in the first quarter of 2015. According to Wall Street Journal, the smartphone giant has sold around 61.2 million iPhones in China which has generated revenues worth at $58 billion. Apple has done some serious business and has made China its homeland one way or another.

This is another record quarter by the company in quick successions. It is believed that Apple managed to do good business by strong sales of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the region during Chinese New Year in February. It has surpassed analysts’ expectations as well. Bloomberg analysts expected the company to sell 58.1 million iPhone which would have brought in revenues of $56 billion, but the company turned tables in its favor.

Tim Cook stated while making the announcement of its earnings “We are thrilled by the continued strength of iPhone, Mac, and the App Store, which drove our best March quarter results ever. We’re seeing a higher rate of people switching to iPhone than we’ve experienced in previous cycles, and we’re off to an exciting start to the June quarter with the launch of Apple Watch.”

These latest numbers do not yet add Apple Watch. The company is determined that it will do great business through Apple Watch and iPhones together. Hence, this quarter is a kick start to another perfect quarter for Apple that will end in June. Tim Cook is excited and said that the company is on the road to break another record come June with its Apple Watch device. “I’ve never seen as many people coming into the middle class as I have in China and that is where the bulk of our sales are going,” Tim Cook continued.
