Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda named best in automobile suppliers.

According to Detroit Free Press, Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda Motors have been named as the best car manufacturer in terms of supplier and customer satisfaction. They were closely followed by General Motors, Nissan and Fiat Chrysler.

Toyota is one of the leading automakers around the globe, and seems committed towards production of efficient vehicles. A revolution in green technology will be the official launch of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The cutting edge technology is expected to release soon this year. The Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle could act as a step into the future.

The Japanese automaker is committed towards manufacturing hybrid vehicles and plans to build more of them every year. Reports state, 2016 will be the year when, most of the automobile sales in Japan will be from electric vehicles.

On the matter, Mr. Bob Young, VP of purchasing for Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing for the North American region said: “While we're happy with these results, we continue to listen and collaborate with our suppliers in our pursuit of mutually beneficial relationships.”

It is clear that Toyota and Honda have been outperforming their competitors long enough now. According to the Nikkei Asian Review, Toyota has already forecasted sales for next year, planning to sell 760,000 hybrids in Japan, compared to last year’s sales of 684,000. That figure accounts for nearly half of Toyota’s overall sales. The company also plans to increase production of gas-electric models by about 30 percent, estimating to build 1.32 million the following year.

Acting upon its green strategy, there seems to be some sort of financial motivation for Toyota. Reports state, Japan is about to ease tax tax for efficient models. According to the Nikkei Asian Review, “only about half of all new models are expected to meet the guidelines for the incentives, compared to over 80 percent now, and the change could cost buyers as much as 100,000 yen ($840) more.”

With the imminent launch of the next-generation Prius and increase production of hybrid vehicles, Toyota plans on positioning itself as a smart choice for consumers. Time will eventually prove where the company stands in the automobile world.
